Antique jewellery often includes floral motifs, as part of their Language of Flowers, whereby each flower or plant represented some romantic or emotional sentiment In this case, forget-me-nots for True Love and roses (rosemary rose) for remembrance. The locket here possibly represents the loss of a loved one.
