Manhattan shoppers have always missed a certain feather in their stylish caps: Neiman Marcus. Before now, the storied Texas retailer didn't claim a New York City address, and, well, you always want what you can't have. But now city shoppers can look forward to an outpost at Hudson Yards on the city's West Side, opening in 2018 with 250,000 square feet. "The [Hudson Yards] project is a bold and innovative retail idea and one that complements how we view our Neiman Marcus brand," Karen Katz, president and chief executive officer of Neiman Marcus Group, told the store's blog. I'm excited to have a new shopping spot but especially so because of this location. Hudson Yards, on the city's far west side, is close to the Culture Shed, future home of New York Fashion Week. And when you need a little rest from the hustle and bustle of fashion shows, what could possibly be better than a spot of retail therapy? New Yorkers: Are you excited?
